Do you like Tolkien?

You know, I read them. I read the Hobbit, I read Lord of the Rings, all of the books when I was a youngster. I'm not my favourite books of all time.

How were you when you read them?

Probably like 11 when I read the Hobbit and maybe 12 when I then graduated to Lord of the Rings.

I had that book read to me when I was five at school. It was read aloud.

Wow.

And I found it absolutely. I'll be honest, terrifying.

And I always found Harry Little Men traumatising ever since then, until I fell in love with the work of the late great Hervé Villaches.
