He is the storyline. I don't know where he's going. I think he can still play in England.

I still think that he can have some more football to play but we'll see. I don't know that football is his primary agenda anymore.

I think it's fast out. I've watched the semifinal game in the Seattle rain and I watched the rain soak through his hair moose and it seemed David Beckham's hair transplant is going bald.

I felt a little sad at the end of the game so the announcement didn't come as a surprise but MLS has lost the closest thing it's had to a soap opera.

I don't know that Beckham has a hair transplant. Do you think he has a hair transplant?

I don't imagine. He's still the only player in this league.

That could be why he's leaving because he just can't play in that much more rain. It does terrible things to his hair products.

I think most Americans are familiar with this swollen scrotum in H&M ads as they are with his dead ball ability.

There's careers overlap with a real period of progress for the league. The big question is whether he created it or whether it would have happened without him.

Some of it has to have been down to his presence, his wattage, his sponsorship.

I think ultimately his legacy will be that he normalised the act of coming to MLS but other players and kind of standardised that.

A lot of the talent that's followed him from a footballing perspective, you and I differ.
