I'm telling you, I just spoke to my father who reminded me that what we're going through in downtown Manhattan, no power, no water, is so much better than having the problems dropped on you by the Germans during the Second World War.

And he's right. Put me in a very positive frame of mind.

It's so true. It's so true. I mean, my dad told me to think about how King Harold soldiers thought in 1066 when William Conqueror was attacking.

But David, I've always wondered this one. If the electricity goes out in your man cave, does it revert by definition to being just a cave?

It is basically just a cave. I mean, I must say I was thinking about this last night. It's interesting living without power and living without order.

I'm not quite sure how how the medievals did without Twitter. I could not live without Twitter.

And I have to say following this storm on Twitter has been an unbelievable experience for my panic room where I shut myself in.

The damage has been devastating. Our hearts go out to those who've suffered and lost from where I was in Manhattan. Luckily, it was like just like a spring day in Liverpool, but absolutely devastating stuff, David.

Yeah, downtown. It's just amazing. The scene that I'm seeing is on the right hand of my car right now. Just unbelievable.
