It's Roach, it's Friday and we've made it, yes, to another week. For me, not just any week. It's my birthday on Tuesday.

And we've talked before on our show about how the world's really divided into two types of people. And you know who you are.

Those who love their birthday and demand that it be celebrated appropriately with a week of pomp and feasting, which could match that of your average Viking funeral.

And those who do everything they can within their power to keep it quiet, introspective, or even small.

I definitely fall into the latter category. It probably won't surprise you to hear that. A birthday to me, it's an important thing. Don't get me wrong.

But it's meaning is intensely personal. And because I've lived most of my life away from my hometown of Liverpool and my parents, Judge Jive, at Ann Valle, I always feel like I'm celebrating it in the wrong place with the right people absent.

This year, though, my second in a pandemic world, I was shocked how immensely powerful the whole experience was.

I really felt just an incredible sense of gratitude, of progress, and just a dominant realization that after the year I've had that you can keep evolving, you can keep trying new things, you can redefine yourself no matter what age you are.

And most of all, in that process, I'm grateful to you for your love, for your support, for your insight, your creativity, your constant creativity along the way, really your partnership.

I want to raise a glass to each and every one of you and send my love and wishes for health and joy and meaning to you in this moment you are.
