There was his peerless football in lockdown when he played as if out of his mind.

But there's also been a lot of frustration amidst the chaos at Chelsea, the manager Carousel, the insanity of player turnover, the ownership change.

When Christian signed for Chelsea, many of us thought he would struggle.

But back then we thought he'd struggle because Chelsea was not known for developing youth-wise.

Suddenly by the time we derived there was too much youth, too many players, too many options, then too many managers, ultimately too many owners and poor Christian.

He had to seemingly prove himself over and over and over.

And it was almost humanly hard to see the joy, bleed from his football, along with his confidence.

Just think about the delta between the swagger of Christian policy, playing for the United States against Mexico.

The United States is safe place, is happy place.

And for Chelsea, that delta became massive.

And the debate, yeah, let them rage over the evaluation of politics, Chelsea, career, American fans.

I've long felt he was short-changed and then some.
