In all sincerity, I am so blown away by your response to my book, reborn in the USA going out into the world.

You know, this book, personally, was the thing that saved me during lockdown last March, April, May. The act of writing, the discipline, the structure that it gave me as sports, really my world stopped.

And also the mechanism, the process, the safe haven of retreating into the past, reliving times of wonder when the present, the reality of New York City, crippled by the pandemic, felt overwhelmingly full of chaos and challenge and just fear, the unknown.

So now, where we are now, to see your photos for a tweet, email, InstaStory by the thousand holding up the cover of the book in your homes, in your bookstores.

I mean, some of you have posed in front of important football bars. We got one this morning in front of Wild Buffalo, Indie Bookstores, City, Scopes across the nation, even a Schmidt House of Sausage in mighty Columbus, one of my top three houses of sausage in the world.

And I've got to say, it all feels unbelievably bloody exhilarating ahead of July 4th to connect to the world like this, to be able to put out so much love and a hope, a hope, a sense of optimism and belief in the good of people, which I truly feel and have it refracted back.

It's honestly, God, it's humbling. It's the honour of a lifetime. I want to thank the thousands of you who have brought this book. My Lord, the ones of you who are in a relationship and so purchased two copies because you couldn't agree on who would read it first. That feels, that feels amazing.

So please, please keep spreading the word, keep sharing the news hits. One big request. And I know this sounds crazy, but believe me, this makes a world of difference.
