Remind you, it's possibly the worst year of many of our lives. Thank you so much, UEFA, for giving us 51 games scattered over 31 days in 11 cities from Glasgow up there on the west coast of Scotland Magnificent to Baku as a bjorn.

That true home of football on the Caspian Sea. And I couldn't be more excited from the perspective of the last year we've shared together.

In which sports totally disappeared, the tournament was suspended. Everything felt bleak.

And from the perspective of those of us who lived in cities like New York, Bergamo, Madrid, just life turned into a fearful fight for survival.

One that felt like it was submerging the globe. It's honestly hard to believe that we're about to share a major international tournament together.

With large numbers of fans in most places. And yes, I know the players of Belied are great, so the football is going to be sloppy. But we should never ever take what we're about to experience and share together, for granted.

You know, if the entire tournament's half as good as the Conker Caffinations League final, prepare to drink it in and let's spirit, so...

So much I'm looking forward to Scottish fans savoring their teams. First tournament, it's 1998.

Belgium's Golden Generation rolling the dice one last time. England's young talent soaked attack.

Probably being undermined by their cumbersome confused.

England, Puky's bullpower propelling that team to wonder and inevitably a livery as you're ripping off his shirt, standing before the world, purred and gorgeous and smelling of drag on the war after scorpion kicking the winning goal in extra time to inloving a truly dire final.

Wiko wonder before we dive in. Did I mention that I wrote a book? It's been some week on Monday, a travel to the base of the Statue of Liberty before it opened to the public to read the introduction of my book for CBS News.

That's going to wear on the morning of June 29th. And I'll say this as a kid that came of age with the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline painted as a mural on my bedroom wall.
