It's Friday, it's Roch and we made it to the end of another week on a pod with an ever-clear

understanding and a true appreciation that in covering football, we are many blazers

are working in as I was told in one conversation with someone in football this week in the

toy department of life because this has been another brutal week for Americans. I received

an email just this morning from GFOP David Massey who wrote in the week of the Tulsa shooting,

David's words, thank you for the pod. I have been a doctor after two hospital shootings

with Pittsburgh and now Tulsa. It's a sad turn. Thank you for the distraction to rinse

the morbid thoughts with football talk is always a pleasure. And that's exactly what we are.

I realize a distraction from the darkness. You know, I take a podcast, an incredible podcast

this week with John Oliver in which he and I relived the entire span of this magnificent

season through our mutual quite differing lenses. And I normally end those conversations

with John by asking pretty much the same question always say something like a variation

on John, can you give us a note of optimism that'll make us feel better days are ahead.
