We've been gifted a clash of pure footballing bloodlines. What Americans would call storied franchises,

German Hatfields versus Scottish McCoy's, Iintrak Frankfurt versus Glasgow Rangers, and of course, in the Champions League,

a heavyweight rumble with a bit of history, Liverpool Rail Madrid 2, electric Bugleau, again propelled by wheels of in-wheel storylines after the almost religious semi-final scenes in Madrid.

And I must say, St. Carlo has a very nice ring to it, and we were reflect on all of this in this podcast with the help of my always guest, Rory Smith, Chief Soccer Correspondent for the New York Times, Rory.

Was it the most dramatic combination to a game you've ever seen live with I Know Nice?

I really want to say yes for the sake of good audio content, but the actual answer is no.
