I'm back from the French Caribbean, Rodge. I've come straight back into, you know, I think years ago, my brother said to me,

Los Angeles has four seasons. It's mudslides, it's fire, it is apocalyptic rain, and then it's earthquake.

And we're in the apocalyptic rain season right now.

I feel for you, I really do. It's a difficult life out there on the wet streets of Los Angeles.

I do want to quickly address a happy moment in my life, and otherwise quite dark 2023 so far, David.

In case you don't know, dear listeners, the Chicago Bears.

Sorry, I didn't mean to laugh.

It's quite appropriate. They gleaned. They gleaned somehow, just somehow.

I mean, gleaned isn't the proper verb, but they were handed the first pick in the NFL draft yesterday for the first time since 1947,

which I think was the year whenever to last one something.

And it was quite a shocking experience watching Lovey Smith, that I thought he said,

Lovey Smith as Chicago Bears coaching legend, lead his dire Houston Texans who've had just a complete and utter effort in the season to a last minute win,

handing the Bears the first pick at the last.

And they were celebrating being the worst team in the league, which is what the first pick can out.
