I've got to say that I still bloody love the FA Cup 3rd round. I think Miguel Delaney wrote beautifully about it, and I read his piece in the independent that dropped this morning, where he said the 3rd round remains genuine the unique, it's the finest distillation of the opportunity inherent to such a preciously low scoring sport.

Anyone can meet anyone and open draw opening minds with the very chaos of it all, ensuring anything can happen. That is what really sets up this weekend. It's the anticipation, the may be the potential and few sporting events offer a similar sense of opportunity.

Almost no other football events do. AKA Miguel is saying I would bite your arm off for ever to win a bloody trophy in that spirit. Let's do it.
