Oh, so I was super into the show a couple years as basically as soon as I found out it wasn't a dating show.

I heard that title and was like, boo.

Because that's how you do your dates. Yes, yeah, don't, you know, put it on the internet, that's fine, I'm cool with that.

But it's a really interesting practice.

It's every episode takes a man and a woman, puts them in the wilderness, they're both survivalists,

and to me it's this fascinating watch of just a microcosm of gender roles and breaking those down

because it's often like an ex-military guy and then a woman who can like out hunt him any day of the week and him sort of having to acquiesce to that along the way.

And this week, the Why It Made the List Finally is because my interests

collided and one of the participants on the episode called Honduran Hell is this amazing dog

musher who lives in Wisconsin. His name is Quince Mountain and his partner and wife raced a diderod last year and I follow her.

Her name is Blair Braverman.

She's an amazing Twitter account with all their dogs.

But he was also the first trans participant they had that

participated as an out trans survivalist and I thought it was great he was
