Summary

MotoGP returned to Brazil… and what unfolded was one of the most chaotic race weekends in recent memory.

In this episode of Gas It Out, Gavin Emmett, Neil Hodgson and Sylvain Guintoli break down everything from the Brazilian Grand Prix - the track issues, the delays, the atmosphere, and how the paddock handled a weekend that kept throwing up surprises.

On track, Aprilia made a serious statement. Marco Bezzecchi delivered, Jorge Martin continues to impress, and suddenly the early shape of the 2026 season is starting to form. But there are already questions for Ducati, concerns at KTM, and plenty still to settle.

Now it’s straight to Texas.

COTA always delivers, and this weekend feels big. For Marc Marquez, for Aprilia, and for the early championship narrative.

From Brazil’s chaos to Austin’s showdown… if in doubt, Gas It Out!

Hello and welcome to a very special edition of Gass It Out. We are in Austin in the Hyatt

0:20.1

Centric Hotel in the City Centre, ahead of the Grand Prix of the Americas. We are in Austin in the Hyatt-centric Hotel in the city centre, ahead of the

0:23.2

Grand Prix of the Americas. We are freshly arrived here from Brazil, myself, Gavin Emmett, Neil Hodgson

0:30.2

and Silvan Gintoli. Welcome along for the ride. Hopefully we're not too jet-lagged and feeling

0:36.3

a little bit jaded because we've had a fair

0:37.8

old journey to get here but we're going to review the Brazilian Grand Prix for you now and then

0:42.9

we're going to also do a little bit of a preview on the circuit of the Americas. But Neil Silvan, I don't

0:48.4

think that Brazilian Grand Prix is one that we're going to forget in a while because I mean there are talking points

0:56.6

galore a lot of it not necessarily about the racing but about the actual racetrack itself

1:02.4

yeah I mean it clearly wasn't ready we got there on Thursday and I've got to say I

1:06.8

were shocked I mean we'd heard rumors that it was going to be a bit of a last-minute

1:10.5

job but turning up there on the coach seeing I was shocked. I mean, we'd heard rumors that it was going to be a bit of a last minute job, but

1:11.3

turning up there on the coach, seeing basically a chain gang, like literally, working on the

1:18.6

track, on the side of the track, trying to tidy it up. It was a sort of a bit of a disaster.

1:26.2

It looked like we're about two months away from it being ready. So it was a shock to the system. We walked up into the paddock. There was civil sort of fitting out the toilet. Bear in mind this was the Thursday. So we went to pit lane. We got stuck. We got stuck on pit lane because they just painted the, basically, the fencing. So we looked through you at the track, and then you pulled your hands away, you've got paint over your hands, you're like, this can't be happening. And that's before we even got onto the track, which we then went onto the track on Thursday, didn't we? Yeah, and then he carried on and on, basically, throughout the weekend, kind of getting worse and worse, and every time there was something new,'re like oh come on but anyway we still got

2:00.9

some racing it was good racing yeah and at least i mean there were there were there were

2:06.1

a sinkhole or anything like that no no no no and there weren't rocks being fired at riders left

2:10.1

right and center and there wasn't the possibility of flooding there weren't weepers loads and loads

2:14.0

of teething problems at the circuit but on a whole when you 60,000 fans through the gate on a Sunday, it was a good event. 100% was it. Yeah, and the track itself, actually, the layout, for me was actually really nice. When we went around on Thursday, yeah, okay, it wasn't perfect, but it was wide, it was was it was better that for me was better than expected

2:34.8

it was just the quality of the the whole thing and the details obviously that you know kind

2:39.8

of fell a little bit but I would say it was an event with a lot of potential that was not fully

2:46.8

sort of fulfilled and hopefully that's what they're going to do in the next few years
