0:14.0	This is Kevin Young and I am joined by Justin Taylor and Colin Hansen.
0:20.0	Good to have the band back together as we talk about
0:25.4	various and sundry items related to life and or books and or everything. As always,
0:33.7	grateful to Crossway for the excellent resources that they produce and at least one
0:40.9	third of this triumvirate whom they employ. And for the many fine books and strange as it may
0:48.9	be, the book they wish to highlight today is called Men and Women in the Church, a short biblical,
0:57.9	practical introduction by me. So what's a non-self-serving, non-awkward transition into talking about this book. And Colin and Justin will chime in.
1:15.6	Maybe they'll have some questions, but I have some questions for them as well.
1:19.2	And we're going to use this episode to talk a little bit about the book, but I don't want to be
1:24.8	just a commercial for the book, but talk more broadly about
1:28.3	the state of complementarianism and what we're seeing and what we think the church needs to be doing.
1:36.3	So let me give a little bit of background on this book and then I'll let Colin and Justin jump in.
1:43.4	So this is called Men and Women in the Church.
1:45.1	It's just coming out as we speak.
1:48.0	The trucks are driving across the country,
1:51.2	unloading just pallets of books yonder.
1:56.5	And this goes back to a little known book that I wrote many years ago called Freedom and Boundaries.
2:07.0	I actually started writing that my first pastoral charge in Orange City, Iowa, and started writing that then in 2003, 2004. And of course, Justin wasn't returning
2:22.3	my calls at the time to get anything published with Crossway. So I self-published it. It came out in
2:28.0	2006. And since then, that self-publishing company went belly up. Thankfully, I have the copyright.
2:35.5	And so in the last few years, Justin and Crosswave said, hey, can we publish that?
