When you're taking animals out of the field, they're not genetically altered, they're not pumped full of hormones and growth hormones to fetch a higher price for that animal.

0:13.0

It's a safer, more practical, more sustainable way of consuming your meat.

0:20.0

That's part of the reason it's so important that we look at why hunting can be so valuable.

0:24.8

And not to mention, maybe even at some point, depending on populations, being able to sell that

0:30.8

meat as opposed to just having to buy beef that was factory farmed.

Every time I talk about one of my hunting stories or post a picture of one of the hunts,

0:42.9

I'm inevitably met with a level of vitriol and disdain that continues to astound me.

0:49.6

I think there is so much misconception around the world of hunting that we generally,

0:55.3

for those people who are non-hunters, cannot imagine that most hunters, in fact, the overwhelming majority of

1:02.9

hunters, aren't cruel, heartless killers. In fact, all of the hunters that I know and all of the men that I've hunted with

these points that I'm going to address is for a couple of reasons.

1:29.8

Number one, for those people who are anti-hunting, I really want to shed some light because I don't

1:35.5

think it's okay to have an opinion without really knowing the data and the facts behind it.

1:42.3

Now, some of the things that I'm going to share with you, you might not agree with, but this is researched. I spent a lot of time figuring out the

1:49.9

information and the data behind why hunting actually makes sense and why it might actually be

1:55.4

better for the ecosystem than not hunting at all. So I do want to explain that. And I think those people who are at least

2:03.7

open-minded to the idea, not that they have to hunt, but might get some new information that will help

2:08.5

them be a little bit more informed when they start to share their opinions. The other thing that I

2:14.4

wanted to share in the reason this is important is because there are a lot of men who I hear from every single week at this point who want to get into hunting.

2:21.8

And I think sharing this will help you understand not only why it's so important, but give you some talking points for those people who might not agree with the idea of going out to procure your own meat. I've had two conversations in the last
