Thank you. your host, James Early. Hello and welcome to another episode of key films of World War II in Europe in the surrounding area.

This is your host, James Early, as always. And as always, I've got my good buddy, Sean McIver. Well, in our most recent

regular episode, we discussed the strategic bombing campaign. And so Sean and I thought it

would be good to discuss another movie about that very topic. We talked about 12 o'clock high a few

weeks ago. And our film for this time is going to be the

1990 film Memphis Bell. And I have to say up front, I have a sentimental attachment in some ways

to this movie because this is the very first movie I saw with my wife, Jennifer, after we got married.

So it's kind of nice, isn't it, Sean?

Actually, technically it's the second because we went to a double feature.

The first movie was this horrible horror movie called arachnophobia, killer spiders,

which gave me nightmares for a long time but anyway but so memphis bell was the

first first movie that i enjoyed uh with jennifer so we'll talk about some of the basics as always

and then sean's going to talk a little bit about the production the background the history behind

the history of the film itself,

or whatever he feels led to talk about.
