| 0:00.0 | Back to more of the Kidcratic Morning Show. |
| 0:05.7 | All right, we are 20 minutes away from Anna's group chat, and we are celebrating today. |
| 0:10.5 | We'll tell you why we're celebrating shortly. |
| 0:13.7 | But Big Al Mack, you decided to adopt something Kelly Raspberry has been doing. |
| 0:17.9 | And I really love it, and Kelly does Mondays with Mama. Yes. And, you know, I do take my mom to church on Sunday, but I wanted to do a little more, spend some more time with her. She's getting older and stuff. So anyway, I started going, you know, to her house and taking her on a walk. Because just to get more exercise because she stays in the house 90% of the time. So I want to just take her around the neighborhood or, you know, we have a golf course right next door to her house. So I've taken up to the golf course. And so yesterday when we got back from her walk, she said, I got something for you. And I'm like, what is it? And one day last week, we were talking about jerseys or old jerseys or something on the show. |
| 0:57.8 | And I asked my mom, does she have any old jerseys of mine that I had, that I wore when I was playing football at the Y? |
| 1:04.7 | Oh, so you can prove to us that you really did this stuff? |
| 1:07.3 | Yeah, sure. |
| 1:08.1 | So she couldn't find a jersey, but she found my fourth grade football pants. Oh, my goodness. They're so crazy. That has my name in the waistband. Are those practice pants? Those are games? Those are games? Those are games? Those are. For every day. Yeah, yeah. Aw. |
| 1:28.1 | I was like, I fit into those. |
| 1:30.2 | Yeah. |
| 1:30.6 | And fourth grade. Oh, that's sweet. Big Al was Little Al at some point. Oh. Did you try them on? I did not try them on. Oh, there's a little bit of blood on the knee pad. We should get that testing. Dang right. |
| 1:41.4 | And finally got you tackled with your... |
| 1:42.8 | So I'm gonna put these in a shadow box and put them somewhere. |
| 1:47.2 | I don't know where, but I'm going to pray. I do have a regret from when I was a kid. And kids, if you're listening this morning, because I don't have my youth football jersey. I had like my best season ever. And I got a girlfriend that season. And I gave it to her. And I gave her my jersey at the end of the seasons. She has it. Find her. |
| 2:54.3 | I know where she's at, but I don't think she has. I mean, we were in seventh grade, eighth grade. And I wish I had that. Because my, I mean, we bought it. And I don't have, I'm glad your mom has those things. I'm so glad she has. And I have a picture of the team. I should have brought it. The team that I was on when I wore these because I'm easy to spot because it's like 14 white kids and me. And we're the town, we're town north YMCA and that was purple jerseys. It was really cool. I have it actually on the wall in the restaurant. So what was the team name? Do you remember? I believe it's the bats. The bats. Did you get to name it yourself? Name the team name? They, I'm not sure how that came about. I was above my pay grade when I was. They're like, we're the bats because we suck. Did you have a position? Um, back then, what was I? I was probably either center or I think when When I first started, I was center. Are you snapping the ball? And noseguard, yeah. Big Al was starting the play. |
| 3:58.3 | And I had, you remember, I told you, I had those green stickers on the side of my helmet because I was too big to actually run the ball. Too big to carry? Too big to carry, yeah. So, that was the first artifact that my mother gave me. Then, she got something else for you to look at. And it was actually a newspaper clip. The newspaper kids is what they used to deliver to your home in the morning or in the afternoon for your parents to read. There was a newspaper called a Dallas Times Herald. And they were real big back in the day. The Herald? The Herald. Yeah, I actually worked for the morning news because I had a paper out for five years. But they wrote an article about me in the Dallas Times Herald. And Kelly, if you don't mind, can you read a little bit of that? By the way, Al, Al have to send the picture, and Kelly has to zoom in. Yeah, because it's, yeah. Oh, yeah. Give credit where it's due to Ms. Ruth Iyer, who wrote the article. I'm sure you remember that interview like it was yesterday. Like it was yesterday, Kelly. The title of the article is called Kitchen Exit. And my picture was in the paper. And there's a picture. You're looking just like Corey. I'm sure we'll throw this up on social media at some point. It wasn't the heat that got Al Mack out of the kitchen. |
| 3:59.7 | It was his growing business. |
| 4:00.1 | That's right. |
| 4:06.1 | Mac 22 started Al Mack mortgage brokers last February in the kitchen of his house after a short stint as a loan officer for another company. |
