My name is Janelle Mackie, one of your reoccurring hosts here on the show.

Very excited today as we have an extra special little bonus episode for you, as it is the 57th

anniversary of the ice bowl. And I have the great pleasure of knowing somebody who was actually

in those seats on that historic day. So with me today is Dave Koshchek, who gratefully took

the time to discuss things with me about that day and just tell his stories, what he experienced,

and all the great things that came with that era of football just as a young fan during that time.

So five years or so ago, I learned that you were actually at the game, which, you know,

Packers fans and just football fans and sports fans in general,

everybody knows what the ice bowl is. But to know somebody who's actually been there,

it's like, want to experience that vicariously through them. And then I found out that you

had actually been there. And I was like, oh, gosh, I got to figure out a time to set up this

interview. And then COVID happened. happened and like our family's just

kind of working together as much. And then we reunited at a wedding. And I was like, okay, I just got to

have this conversation, got to set something up. So super grateful to be here to be able to do that.

So I've got Dave here who was at the ice bowl. Do you remember how old you were at that time?

I was 32 years old.

32, okay, so not much older than I am now.
