Hello, and welcome back to the mini-series based on the memoirs of the Court of Queen Elizabeth.

Welcome to Part 3.

In this episode, you'll learn about Elizabeth's succession issues,

0:22.7

Mary Queen of Scots, and The Trouble with Catherine Gray and the Earl of Hartford. Buckle up,

0:29.6

1:36.3

forbade her, under present circumstances, to announce it to the world.

The title of the Queen of Scots, otherwise unquestionable, was borrowed by the will of Henry

1:49.3

the 8th, ratified by an unrepealed act of parliament, and nothing less solemn than a

1:55.4

fresh act of the whole legislature would have been sufficient to render it perfectly free from

2:00.5

objection.
