Summary

THIS IS A PREVIEW PODCAST. NOT THE FULL REVIEW. Please check out the full podcast review on our Patreon Page by subscribing over at - https://www.patreon.com/NextBestPicture For our latest throwback review, we remember the film that substantially accelerated Christopher Nolan's career, his innovative, indie breakout and Oscar-nominated hit film "Memento" starring Guy Pearce, Carrie-Ann Moss, Joe Pantoliano, Mark Boone Junior, Stephen Tobolowsky, Harriet Sansom Smith, Larry Holden & Callum Keith Rennie. Based on a short story credited to his brother Jonathan Nolan, the film was highly praised at the time of its release for its creative narrative structure, which has continued to mesmerize audiences over twenty years after its release. Many of the recurring themes in Nolan's work and stylistic choices can be traced back to this film, which broke new ground and ushered in a new era of his filmmaking career, which led to a partnership with Warner Bros. With the success of "Oppenheimer," similar featuring black and white sequences and an unconventional narrative structure, find out what Josh Parham, Dan Bayer, Brendan Hodges and I had to say about the film's writing, direction, performances, awards season run and more in our SPOILER-FILLED review!
