This week a story that Dan Savage first shared on the podcast in January of 2015, here's

Dan now with a story we call Melting.

I feel weird telling this story after the last couple of very moving stories that were

very important in mind is just the theme was fucked up so I have a bullshit fucked up drug

story to tell you.

I did acid in college, I did everything, most things in college.

I didn't smoke pot for the first time until I was 36 and I haven't stopped since.

I just did a little bit of drugs in college and I took acid in college with my friend Maureen

and we were at the Cranert Center for the Performing Arts.

We just had this amazing huge lobby with these striped career marble walls and this park

hay and laid flooring that went on for an acre and this paneling and we did acid in the

lobby and we just hung out there until the walls were moving a little bit and the floors

were going like this and sort of estuary-ish lizards were coming out of the park hay but

which is very subtle and you kind of had to look and we would look at each other and go

yeah, if I concentrate I can see shit right and that for me was acid and I was like well
