Sometimes we can be sold a story, a story about our worth.

But when I got really sick or on days like today, when I'm dealing with just yet another wave of chronic pain,

I don't have that much of a choice.

And then I start to feel like a failure that I can't do everything that I used to do in a day,

or was even able to do yesterday.

Yet another reminder that, yes, I'm human, I'm finite, I'm not happy about it.
