Summary

In November of 2020, police in Mount Morris, Illinois responded to a report of a house fire, where firefighters would make a grim discovery: the body of a 27-year-old pregnant woman. But as investigators learned that the fire had been an arson, and that neighbors saw a man enter the home shortly before the blaze, a disturbing a shocking suspect came into the picture. This is the murder of Melissa Lamesch.

2:47.2	Melissa Lamish was born to parents Deanna and Gus on May 10th, 1993 in Rockford, Illinois, joining two older siblings, a sister named Cassie and a brother named Carl.
2:52.0	And the family later welcomed Melissa and of course Carl and Cassie's younger brother Brian as well. So we've got four kids. But Deanna and Gus did eventually divorce, though I will say
3:00.0	Melissa and her whole family remained super tight-knit, like she was very close with all of her siblings
3:05.0	and her mom and her dad. And with the divorce and new marriages, Melissa later gained a half sister named Julia.
3:12.3	So that would total to five across the board.
3:15.8	Now, her sister Cassie describes Melissa as a powerful and strong presence.
