I've been going to get this guest in for a long time.

I met her at Lackma for a live for a live for. She went back in the days we used to do those there.

And the thing that's often impressed me about her, I think many of us, is that she's very good at playing characters who are keeping something to themselves, going back to heavenly creatures, and even her turn on two and a half men.

She's always been somebody who's had something

that we don't quite know about.

So she's got to really explore that in the Showtime series,

Yellow Jack, where she's been nominated for Emmys,

but she's a Golden Globe nominee.

She's so busy, but I'm so glad that Melanie Linsky's been able to stop by

here and talk. First of all, it's a thrill to have you here. Thank you for doing this.

Thank you for having me. I'm so honored to be here. I'm such a huge fan of yours. Well, you know

that. Well, I love that you have such a low threshold for being honored. So we're just going to go

with that. But you so often show this side of you of these women who keep things to themselves.

And I wonder what your comfort level is for that, because it's not very comfortable for these characters that you're playing.

Yeah, that's such an interesting insight.

I was like, oh gosh, I guess that is true of two and a half men. Yes. It's so interesting.

It's always fun to have a secret. It's always fun to be playing something other than just what's on

the surface. So I love it. And then you can kind of build as you go as you get more information
