Lauren, I am coming to you live from a hotel room in Washington, D.C.

I have a new microphone.

But I'm in a hotel room because I've been in D.C. the last few days covering the president and covering the first lady.

I love to come to Washington, D.C. and be in the press pool and be your eyes on the scene, because I might pick up on details and nuances that maybe another reporter might not. And that reporter might be great and fantastic in their own right, but I'm going to see things that I know you guys want to hear about. Okay, I'm going to be looking at the outfits. I'm going to be looking at the interactions. Okay, are these two people getting along? And so we're going to get to Megan Markle later in the show. We're going to get to Joy Reid. We're going to get to a lot of things. Okay, Jeffrey Starr, he is this makeup mogul with crazy hair and purple and pink wig's on, but even he is not woke. So we'll be getting to all of that later in the show,

but I want to start off by breaking down the dinner the other night between the crown prince Mohammed bin Salman and President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump. So I was at the White House. Okay, I ran and I rented a tuxedo. Okay, I went to men's Warehouse and I said, I need a tuxedo and I

need it pronto. Okay, I got to be out of here in 10 minutes. And the folks at Men's Warehouse, they said, well, where are you going? That's so important that you need a tuxedo right now. I said, I'm going to the White House to cover this event as a part of the press. So I went to the White House to cover this dinner. And the reason this dinner was important, right? It wasn't just a dinner. Okay, this wasn't just pomp and circumstance for pomp

and circumstance sake. Okay, this dinner was important because we just secured a trillion dollar

investment from Saudi Arabia. Okay, so that is going to create jobs. It's going to continue to

move us further into the 21st century. So this is very important. Also at this dinner, okay, I took a picture and put this on

X. You had Elon Musk. Elon Musk was dining there. You had Cristiano Ronaldo. You had Bill

Ackman. You had other huge stars. You had Tim Cook from Apple and all of these folks getting along

and getting together and coming together

because they love the United States of America and they believe in our prosperity, right?

They want us to prosper into the future.

And part of that is getting investments from other countries.

Now I understand there are folks who say, you know, why is he hanging out with this world leader?

Why is President Trump hanging out with this one?

America first, what's great for our country, okay, what's going to make America great again is having good trade deals with other countries, right? We were so ripped off the last four years. I can't think of any investment that Joe Biden even secured. I can't think of any prominent investment that Joe Biden secured for our country or Kamala Harris. And so in order for us to prosper, we can't live in a vacuum. Okay, we have to have relationships with other countries. And if the Saudi Arabians want to invest a trillion dollars here, that's great. I'm happy about it. Am I jumping on a plane and flying Saudi Arabia tomorrow? Probably not. Okay, probably not. I don't think I can handle the heat.

My hair doesn't do well in the heat, but it is nice to have a trillion dollars worth of investment.
