Okay, so today is one of those episodes of Gabby with Gid, where we're going to veer outside of the Bravo universe for a second.

But I still hope it's a topic that enough of you are interested in, because I know it's

an area of pop culture that I've always found fascinating, the royals.

I don't remember the first time I became aware of the British royal family as a kid growing up in America,

but I do remember the Princess Diana Beanie Baby.

That really is my first kind of memory associated with anything royals.

I remember adults' fascination with Diana in general, and my mom loves the royals,

but my own personal interest wasn't really

peaked again until 2011 when Prince William married Kate Millison. I remember watching their

wedding on TV and some teachers live streaming the news during school as they replayed footage

from their instantly iconic wedding. And I remained interested after that, but not intensely so,

until I spent the first five years of my career working at entertainment news, where anything involving the Royals clicked extremely well. So we leaned fully in

and covered them a lot. And those years of covering pop culture in that sort of day-to-day, 24-hour

news cycle sense coincided almost exactly with the introduction and subsequent fascination with
