I always told my mother that I wanted to be an actress since before I can remember.

I had just turned 15 and I was an extra in Bad Boys 2.

And they brought me in and I was wearing a Stars and Stripes bikini and a red cowboy hat.

Then have me dancing underneath the waterfall getting soaking wet.

I was sort of speaking out against some of the abusive, misogynistic, patriarchal things

that were going in in Hollywood back in 2008 and 2009, way before people were ready to embrace

that or tolerate it.

And I actually got ridiculed for doing it.

I didn't feel like I was accepted by much of the feminist community.

I just didn't think that I was a very sympathetic victim,

and so I didn't want to speak out because I didn't feel like it would be received in a positive way.
