It's time for our annual mega banter year in review.

I am here with not one but two banter buddies, Matt Bellany, founding partner of Puck News,

and Lucas Shaw, head of the entertainment team at Bloomberg.

And it has been some year in Hollywood.

We're going to talk about it.

I'm going to remind you guys that, like, back at the beginning of the year, the Writers Guild settled their fight with agents.

They had all fired their agents, and they settled settled and it seemed like such a big story.

And then the year just goes, boom.

So I'm going to ask each of you to nominate just briefly your story of the year.

I'll start with you, Lucas.

My nominee is Squid Game, not just because it was the biggest hit that Netflix has really ever had and the kind of

cultural phenomenon that it strives for, but because it is really the first show from Asia to

explode over the world in that way ever. And I think a sign of the influence of international

programming that will only grow over the years to come. And Matt, what about you?
