All right, we have a ton of work to do today.

Lots of news that has come down the pike.

Also got to talk about the Southwest Division in this episode ahead of the trade deadline.

But I think we probably do need to start with the news here.

And some of that news is really, really disheartening.

It is. Victor Oledipo, Pat, he went down with an injury on Wednesday night in their game against the Raptors.

It has been diagnosed as a ruptured quad tendon.

That is most similar.

It is a very unusual injury for an NBA player.

It has happened a few times.

The most recent one was Tony Parker's in the 2017 playoffs.

And Parker is a very different player, especially at this point in his career than Oledipo.

And those differences actually concern me more about this because Parker,

there is a very big positive here, which is that he looks more like himself 18 months out than I anticipated.

And that is great.

That is a really important piece of news.

But it did take really a year.

This is something that my finger brought up.

It took him about a year to be right.

And then the part that I will add in is that Tony Parker at this stage in his career relies on athleticism significantly less than Oledipo.

So I am hopeful that we can see the Victor Oledipo or at least a reasonable facsimile of it to the guy that we've seen over the last couple of years who's been such a revelation.

But it might take some time and there is a risk here.
