Welcome to the Mad in America Podcast, your source for science, psychiatry, and social justice.

Welcome to the Madden America podcast. My name is Brookesyam, and I am the author of the award-winning memoir on antidepressant withdrawal

Today I'm with Marsha Zoritsky and I am very interested to talk to her because she reached

0:29.8

out to me about the fact that we don't spend a lot of time talking about women who are prescribed

0:34.4

psychiatric drugs as part of menopause.

0:37.1

which is internal family systems.

1:13.1

She is licensed to see clients in Idaho and Washington, although she did tell me before we started

1:17.2

1:24.0

in the mental health field who have also had experience with psychiatry

1:28.0

and psychiatric drug withdrawal, that can sometimes change and inform how they practice

1:33.1

and approach the entire industry, if you will, as a whole.

1:37.4

So I am very excited to have you here.

1:39.8

Marcia, I am thrilled to hear what you've been through and where you're at now because even just seeing

1:45.1

you through the screen, I can tell how much radiance and joy there is there.
