0:46.4	Yeah. And you and I have a lot to be thankful for. So much. Being thankful is not only just a good
0:52.0	idea and a, maybe a mood brightener.
0:56.1	It's also a commandment in the scripture.

0:59.8	The Bible talks a decent amount about being thankful, sometimes tied to prayer.
1:05.4	You know, I think two years ago, we went through Philippians and spoke on that about Paul encouraging us, you know,
1:12.2	when you bring your request before the Lord to do so with gratitude and thankfulness.
1:17.9	First Thessalonians 5, 16 through 18 is a very sweet passage. It says this,
1:23.9	always be joyful, never stop praying, be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's
1:31.0	will for you who belonged to Christ Jesus. I was watching a MacArthur sermon the other day
1:37.5	about God's will, and sometimes we have a tendency to mystify God's will and try and make it on a micro scale of,
1:49.0	I knew a guy once when I was serving at my last church who he wanted to know, does God want me to choose this coffee or that coffee?
1:56.9	What is God's will for the color of my car and the sorts of things and like always looking for signs
2:02.4	and I think for the most part God's will like what does you really want from you it's to become more like
2:08.5	Jesus he's going to work out the he's going to direct your steps and this sorts of things and it's good to be
2:12.9	prayer prayerful about decisions but so often it's passages like this where what is God's will for your life?
2:19.6	Well, it's to be joyful. It's to always be in prayer. And it's to be thankful in all circumstances.
