And this is, this the Bourbon Women Problem. Over the past few weeks of this podcast, we've had some pretty exciting guests. And this week is one of the best because we were joined by White House Press Secretary Karin Jean-Pierre.

There's so much to pay attention to at the local

level and local elections are incredibly important, but there's no denying that on the national

level this year, we could actually lose our democracy. So it was nice to zoom out a little bit and

talk to Kareen about the Biden administration and everything they've done to support

regular Americans, including suburban women. This is our last episode for a few weeks while we share

our limited series, The Cost of Extremism, and we couldn't have asked for a better guest than the

White House Press Secretary. But before we get to that interview, we have to talk about the news. It seems like

every day is something big. I mean, like kind of huge, right? So let's just pick a few things.

What has been standing out to you? All right. I've got a question. So I know this is good news

that we took back George Santos's seat, right? Great news, right? However,

the Dems have had that seat for quite a number of years before we took it back. So I know

gems are super celebrating and I'm all about celebrating the wins, but also this is something we

really screwed up last time. And so this is really just undoing something we majorly screwed up, which is a

win, but it's not a huge win. I think that number one, yes, we let that one get away from us.

And so we're getting this back. So this is kind of like a, it's not really a gain in any way.
