0:12.1	I'm Kristen Welker in New York, and we begin with breaking news.
0:15.8	After a deadly shooting at an ice facility, reigniting concerns about political violence and inflamed
0:21.9	rhetoric in this country just two weeks after the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
0:27.0	Now, according to authorities, three people were shot early this morning at an immigration
0:31.1	and customs enforcement field office in Dallas in what officials are calling an act of targeted
0:37.2	violence.
0:38.3	The Department of Homeland Security says three ICE detainees were shot as the gunmen fired
0:42.9	indiscriminately from a nearby rooftop.
0:45.4	One of the detainees was killed.
0:47.5	The shooter was found dead on the scene of a self-inflicted gunshot and has been identified
0:52.5	as 29-year-old Joshua John. No ICE officials were
0:56.7	injured, but officials say they are investigating this as an act of targeted violence against
1:01.7	law enforcement based on the current evidence. I can confirm at this time that the FBI is
1:07.6	investigating this incident as an act of targeted violence. What I can also share with you is that early evidence that we've seen from rounds that were found
1:18.6	near the suspected shooter contain messages that are anti-ice in nature.
1:23.6	And I think that the takeaway from all of this is that the rhetoric has to stop.
1:31.2	There are people out there who are seeing what is being placed online, and they're coming
1:38.1	and they're doing acts of violence against ICE employees. FBI director Cash Patel sharing a photo of those bullets with one clearly marked.
