We are awaiting the president as the White House is teasing what it calls a significant medical

announcement tied to autism.

We will bring you that when it gets underway, but we're going to begin with breaking news.

Disney, just moments ago, announcing that Jimmy Kimmel Live will return to ABC tomorrow night.

The news coming less than a week after Kimmel was suspended indefinitely in the wake of

comments he made accusing Republicans of trying to score political points with Charlie Kirk's

assassination. NBC news correspondent Liz Kruz joins me now for more on this. Liz, I know this

news just broke, but tell us what Disney is saying. Yeah, hey, Ryan, well, five days ago is when Disney made this decision to suspend Jimmy Kimmel.

They have been silent since then.

Now, they are breaking that silence, putting out this statement, announcing he's returning tomorrow night.

Here's what they said.

They say, last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country.

It's a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive.

We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday.

Of course, this announcement is huge and opens up many, many questions.

How will Jimmy Kimmel respond to it himself tomorrow night?

Will he apologize?

Disney made this decision after pressure from the FCC chairman, but also announcements from

station groups,

Next Star and Sinclair, that said that they were not going to air Jimmy Kimmel on their ABC
