wild state of the presidential race as new polling suggests

Democrats are now in the strongest position they've been in this contest all year.

And yet the race remains essentially a toss-up with just 47 days to go. We'll have much more on the

latest polling later in the hour, but we do begin on the campaign trail and

another foreign hacking episode. U.S. intelligence agencies now revealing Iranian hackers sent information to

Biden campaign associates that had been stolen from the Trump campaign.

It's unclear what information was stolen, who exactly it was sent to, and what if anything the

Biden campaign did with it. U.S. officials say the malicious cyber actors sent the

information in the form of unsolicited emails and that there is currently no information

indicating those recipients replied. The Harris campaign says they have

cooperated with authorities and that they are not aware of any hacked

material sent to them.
