a growing number of challenges facing both the Biden White House and his reelection campaign,

starting with a historic strike in a key sector of the U.S. economy.

As the clock struck midnight, thousands of auto-workers officially walked out at three

car manufacturing plants in Missouri, Michigan, and Ohio.

After the UAW and the big three auto-makers failed to reach an agreement on a new contract.

It's the first time in the Union's history that its members have gone on strike against

four GM and Chrysler, making Stellantis at the same time as for how long they're willing

to strike.

Here's what UAW President Sean Fein told NBC News moments after the Union officially
