1:03.7	House Speaker Kevin McCarthy are gearing up to meet once again at the White House.
1:08.5	Just about 90 minutes from now, the meeting comes a little more than a week before the
1:12.7	U.S. could default on its day, with potentially catastrophic consequences for the economy.
1:18.7	This will be the first one-on-one meeting between the President and the House Speaker during
1:22.8	these talks.
1:23.8	The head of the meeting, Speaker McCarthy, remains firm that his party won't vote to raise
1:28.3	the debt limit unless Democrats agree to immediately cut spending.
1:32.7	Look, obviously the President today will sit down and we'll talk about that.
1:36.0	But the underlying issue here is the Democrats since they took the majority has been addicted
1:40.9	to spending and that's going to stop.
