0:18.2	Former President Trump, the current frontrunner for the Republican nomination has been indicted
0:22.8	by the Manhattan District Attorney.
0:24.2	It's the first time ever in this country's history that it, criminal charges, have been
0:28.2	brought against a former U.S. President.
0:31.1	We're going to dive into what this means politically in a moment, but first, here's what
0:35.3	we know about the charges.
0:37.5	The grand jury's indictment remains under seal.
0:40.1	Sources tell NBC News that the former president is likely facing approximately 30 counts
0:45.3	of document fraud-related charges tied to those hush money payments he made back in 2016.
0:53.0	He signed 11 checks.
0:55.2	Maybe 11 times three gets you into the 30s, perhaps counts, things like that.
