The Democratic Party's de facto nominee Kamala Harris looks to maintain her

party's new-found momentum while ramping up the search for a running mate.

Whether you call it a honeymoon, a sugar high, or something else.

Harris's candidacy, which is just over a week old,

has reinvigorated a lot of Democrats.

At the beginning of this month, just 37% of Biden supporters said they were enthusiastic about his candidacy.

And now, according to new polling from the Wall Street Journal, that number has more than doubled with 81% of Harris

supporters enthusiastic about her candidacy.

That shift in sentiment and optimism is also reflected in our interviews with Democratic voters on the campaign trail.

I am excited for this election.

I think it energizes everybody. I think it's breeding a lot of excitement in

different generations. I think that it has galvanized the Democratic Party and the Democratic base.
