I'm Melanie's Nona in Washington, where Attorney General Pam Bondi was defiant as she testified before the House Judiciary Committee today.

The hearing, at times, becoming confrontational, especially as Democrats pushed for more accountability

on the Justice Department's handling of the Epstein files.

In her opening statement, Attorney General Pam Bondi defended the administration's handling

of the case.

I am deeply sorry for what any victim, any victim has been through, especially as a result

of that monster.

If you have any information to share with law enforcement about anyone who has hurt you or

abused you, the FBI is waiting to hear from you.

Despite that, Bondi clashed with several Democrats on the committee, including Congressman

Jayapal, who asked the Attorney General to apologize to the Epstein survivors who were in the

room for the hearing. Take a listen. It is about you taking responsibility

for your Department of Justice and the harm that it has done to the survivors who are standing

right behind you and are waiting for you to turn to them and apologize for what your Department

of Justice system.
