As President-elect Donald Trump prepares to be sworn into office, as the fate of Mike Johnson's speakership potentially hangs in the balance, and as Elon Musk tests the extent of his influence.

So here's where things stand right now.

Political reports that folks around President-elect Trump believe he is unhappy with

Speaker Johnson's handling of the government funding negotiations, which did not deliver

on Trump's 11th hour demand of a hike in the debt ceiling.

One Trump insider telling Politico, in the past couple of weeks,

we've questioned whether Johnson has been an honest broker. Over the weekend, we heard from a

couple of House Republicans openly musing about a change in leadership. Well, I'll tell you,

I'm losing confidence with each day. And I think that we have a lot of our colleagues that are

losing confidence. We're not sticking to the principles and the values in which we say that we fight for.

I think ultimately it's going to be decided who President Trump likes,

because I believe that will weigh in heavily on the decision-making of that.

Because right currently, President Trump works very well with Mike Johnson.

They have a great relationship.
