This episode, in honor of the 72nd Annual DGA Awards, we're bringing back our annual series of episodes devoted to our popular Meet the

Nominees Theatrical Feature Film Symposium.

Now in its 29th year, the event is a roundtable discussion with the directors nominated

for the Guild's Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Theatrical Feature Film.

This year's nominees include Bang Jun Ho, the director of Parasite,

Sam Mendez, the director of 1917, Martin Scorsese, the director of the Irishman,

Quentin Tarantino, the director of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,

and Taika Waititi, the director of Jojo Rabbit.

These talented directors were gathered on January 25th at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles,

with Mr. Scorsese joining via video from New York, and director Bong accompanied by his translator,

Sharon Choi, to discuss the craft of directing and the making of their films with moderator Jeremy Kagan. So please enjoy part one of our Meet the nominees special and listen to the five nominees

talk about where they like to be on set when directing and share details about shooting the

openings and closings of their film.
