Guys, as has been the case for the last couple of weeks, the Mets managerial search continues.

They have begun the interview process.

They did that earlier this week when they spoke to Kevin Long.

They've also apparently already interviewed Astros bench coach Alex Cora,

who's the hottest name on the market.

Looks like the Boston Red Sox are interested in him,

as well as several of the other teams that have vacancies right now

for their managerial posts. Kevin Long, Mickey Calloway, Joe McEwing, Manny Acta, those appear to be

the other finalists right now for the Mets opening because a few of the other new rumored names

over the last couple of weeks. Those guys aren't interested in either interviewing or interested

in managing period. So with all that said, it looks like Kevin Long has separated himself at least for now as the

favorite for the Mets job.

That's according to some of the stuff that's been reported here over the last couple of days.

So, Matt, I want to get your take on this first.

How do you feel about Kevin Long as the next Metz manager?

Well, I honestly don't know how to feel about it.

I know what people say about him as a hitting coach.

The players love him.

You know, he works well at the front office.

Obviously, you know, Sandy hired him.
