To celebrate their 500th episode and 8 years of podcasting, Todd and Cathy talk with their daughters Jacey (16), Camryn (14), and Skylar (11) about their experiences with “zen” parenting, and discuss the issues confronting teens and pre-teens today. 0:00.0	Hey, everybody. You're about to hear our 500th podcast. To celebrate this event, we invited our three daughters to join us and talk about the challenges of being a kid these days, such as technology, homework, grades, etc.
0:14.2	As well as what they think parents need to know about raising healthy, happy kids. And we have a big announcement.
0:20.5	So why have one podcast when you can have two
0:24.4	podcasts? Exactly. So today we launched another podcast called pop cultureing. Yes. What's pop
0:31.5	culturing? So Zen Parenting Radio, as everybody knows, is us talking about self-awareness and connection and communication,
0:39.2	and sometimes we bring in some pop culture. Well, pop-culturing is about pop culture and like movies
0:46.3	and TV shows and music, and we bring in self-awareness. So it's kind of the reverse of Zen
0:52.8	parenting. A lot of people tell us that
0:54.7	Zen parenting can be really deep and sometimes they need something a little more light.
0:59.5	Well, pop cultureing is your light. Todd and I discuss our favorite movies and how they affected
1:06.1	our lives and how it related to the culture at the time. Yeah, and how it relates to us today, for goodness sakes.
