She's an actor that we've been working with for a number of years here on Discovery Mountain.

In fact, her first role with us was back in 2019.

But she has become a regular and she now plays Joyce Holt.

And we are so pleased to have Joletta Redd with us today. Gene, I know you have a lot of questions for her.

Why don't you go ahead and get started. Oh, yeah, would love to. Welcome, Joletta. Glad you're

with us for this interview. Thank you for

having me. And here's a little fun fact for our listeners today. We three are actually in three

different locations, aren't we? Yep, I'm in Georgia. I'm in Bowmanville, Ontario. And I'm in

Colorado. So it's wonderful what technology can do.

Hopefully, to those of you listening, it sounds like we're all in the same room.

Well, Joletta, as Director Doug said, you've been acting for us, playing voices, playing roles since about 2019.

But our listeners probably know you best as Joyce Holt.

So let's get to know you a little bit. What is your regular job? I am a commercial department assistant for adventure aviation.

That's a company that buys and sells parts for commercial military aircrafts all

over the world. Oh, wow. So how did you get into that line of work? Well, my sister worked at

Staples and one of the employees came in to get something printed and asked her if she needed a job.

And she said, no, but my sister does. So the person

said, okay, send her resume and we'll take a look at it. And about a week later, they offered me

the job. Really? Oh, that's interesting. Yeah. Yeah. It sounds very providential that all of that happened that way. Yes. I had been looking for a job for a while. And the Lord definitely intervened. Oh, very neat. Well, that's a little bit different from your character, Joyce Holt, and her role. Of course, she's a schoolteacher. She's a camp director. You know, but she has some difficult situations and things she has to take charge of. So tell us how, Joletta, are you similar to Joyce and how are you different from her?

I'm similar to Joyce in that we're both black with short hair.
