out of college. And I served for 20 years in a variety of tours, none of them at sea, because when I

joined the Navy, women were not allowed on most ships. But I very much enjoyed my time and got to be a

commanding officer of a shore unit. And the greatest

honor, as you just mentioned, was in my final assignment when the head of the United States Armed Forces,
