I'm perspective, the economist know which way is up. Hey everybody. This is Monica Perez and we are here with our continuing reading and

discussion of meditations by Marcus Aurelius.

We are on book nine and I had some thoughts about this.

So he's a stoic and he was an emperor and he is like, don't worry about death, don't worry about death, don't worry about death,

that's no big deal, it's just death, it's not that big deal.

And I was thinking, oh, he must be afraid of dying. And then I was thinking, that's the kind of attitude you want people to think if you're, if you want them to die for you. So I was starting to wonder if this was like, and then I'm like, okay, the stoics, that does sound like it was the soldiers thing. I meant to look it up, but sometimes I like to just read it and see what unfolds before I read what other people want me to think about it.

So anyway, but we'll save all of that for the post-mortem, which is coming soon.

I think we will have one more episode before Christmas.

Maybe we can just wrap it up then.
