a lot of times what we are thinking about are movies that take place in the past.

So when we imagine, say, Eleanor of Aquitaine in the past, we get images of noted babe

Catherine Hepburn, or ex-model Miloovich as Joan of Arc, or maybe even the divine Kate

Blanchett as the legendary maid Marian.

Our historical fiction is full of the most beautiful women it is possible to cast,

which makes perfect sense.
