I'm super excited for our time together and like we talked

about before we hit record, everybody has a story and our passion is to help them tell it. So with your permission we're going to start with

where you were born, go all the way up to today, and then I want to talk about these two

amazing thriller novels that you've written. Is that cool?

Great, always, thank you for having me on. It's always a pleasure and I always love to talk about my books and my writing.

I love it. I'm excited to have you here. So where were you born?

I was born Detroit, Michigan. Okay. To my, I was the youngest of six children.

Wow.

And grew up in a middle class lower middle class family.

Father was a factory worker.

And went to Catholic school right through high school.

And then I went into college at Wayne State University.

Okay.

I've had the mixed blessing of being a person who is interested in a lot of different things and is good at a lot of different things, at least academically.
