Welcome to episode four of Media Roots.

We're going to start off today's show by talking about a couple headlines that have been in the news recently,

one of which, a really disturbing story about an eight-month

pregnant woman, Chinese woman, who was dragged out of her home and forced, basically forced to

have an abortion by the Chinese government for violating the one-child policy law.

Eight months pregnant, dragged, kicking and screaming out of her home,

12 government officials entered her house, took her to the hospital,

and restrained her as doctors injected her with a drug to kill her unborn baby.

They claim that her husband signed off on it and he says that that's a complete lie.

So it's just,

it's just really, really disturbing that this is going on in China. Totally closed off society.

No, you know, there's so much censorship. We don't really know what's going on over there. We know that there's a lot of disturbing stuff about organ, you know, selling organs on the black market

and the Falun Gong practitioners. And it's just,

it's just really, really shocking stuff. Yeah, China is, is pretty creepy in a lot of ways.

The organ harvesting, that the fact that they, you know, they, they so efficiently execute you

after you, you know, you're charged, you know, you know, the judge

makes your sentence death, you basically get executed like within hours after that. Really?

Verdict, yeah. There's rumors that they have what's called mobile execution vans where they

are basically parked outside the courthouse and you go inside them and they harvest your organs
